Rosh Chodesh

Rosh Chodesh is a women's group which functions within the framework of the Am Hayam fellowship. We meet on the third Thursday of each month to participate in some program or activity.

Our programs are member led on a volunteer basis, with an occasional invited guest speaker. Past program topics have been as diverse as "Jewish Women in Politics", "Finding Your Jewish Roots", "Jewish Music", "Jews around the World", "Jewish Cooking", or a discussion based on a book we all read, or film we all see together.

We meet in members' homes or in a public space such as a local library. Our meetings usually begin with an opening prayer or poem that relates to that meeting topic, and we conclude with a time to socialize over coffee and cake.
